EPL Weekly

Ahhhh so one more win and Chelsea have secured the title. Mou inevitably parked the bus, Liverpool are still laughable, City got lucky and UTD ummmm WTF.

Liverpool played to a pretty drab 0-0 draw, and really showed they lack a striker. Ballo started and well didn’t exactly cover himself in glory. It’s quite crazy to imagine that after the highs of last season, Liverpool could be in a state of flux next season. Raheem will want CL football and he could be gone, Sturridge can’t stay fit so they need a striker, and with Captain Fantastic off to the USA there is need for another to take up the Gerrad mantle. I think Brandon is finished, more of the same next season for the Reds.

City got bloody lucky. Shocking keeping from Brad Guzan gifted City a win. Villa clawed their way back after being 2-0 down. City Really need to fix that defence. I think Pellegrini has some dressing room unrest, and he will be on his way out this summer. Along with a host of players, probably Toure, Dzeko. Still City showed some fight in pretty much a nothing game. It realy is now just about finishing 2nd isn’t it. I mean Liverpool and Spurs are just too far away to even think about top 4 anymore.

UTD were blasted away 3-0 buy Everton. Now to say blasted is a bit harsh. Utd had all the possesion but were just too blunt upfront. I mean the really didn’t trouble Tim in goal and Rooney was a bit anonymous yesterday. Everton played on the counter to great effect and UTD look a bit like Arsenal. Sorry i know utd fans dont wanna here that but hey, they played pretty footbal, lots of nice little passes but failed to find that one moment of brilliance. They are not the efficient UTD we know and Everton took advantage big time. They slide down to 4th making their game against the Gunners in a couple weeks HUGE in the race for 2nd.

AFC v CFC: the big London derby. From the lineups it was obvious Mou was going to park the bus. Not a single recognized striker on the pitch. I suppose, no costa no remy and a wounded drogba, meant it was out of neccessity, but lets be honest we expected this from Mr Anti Football (have i mentioned that I can’t stand him??). The game itself was probably one of the more entertaining 0-0 u will watch this season, especially the first half. Some of the football played by both teams was breath taking. I suppose considering the talent on show, it was expected. some penalty shouts for both teams but hey i believe the result was fair. Mou needed a draw and he got it. For Arsenal they can take solace in that they have done better against the teams around them this season. Bodes well for next season where they could kick on and really challenge. Hazard one PFA player of the year, with Alexis coming in 4th. What a farce, Harry fˆˆˆˆˆˆg Kane and DeGea ahead of him, SERIOUSLY. SMDH. I can’t argue with Hazard though, Congrats to him. Arsenal should go on to win the FA CUP, but u know the gunners, they always have a Monaco type game in them.

You get the feeling after yesterday’s game that the season is over. A lot of nothing games coming up now. The top 4 as it stands will remain as is, just a matter of who finishes where. Chelsea can pretty much be crowned champions, so whats left to watch out for. Maybe now we can turn to relagation battles. LMAO who am I kidding, I will not be watching those games. Sure they can be great entertainment but do I really give a hoot about whether Burnley stay up?? Meeehh, Not really!!

Till next week…..
