With a single point difference separating the two Harare teams on the latest Castle Lager log table, fading giants Dynamos and Harare City will square off for the precious three points at Rufaro tomorrow afternoon.
The once glamorous Harare giants, The Glamour Boys, whose coach Tonderai Ndiraya has wielded the axe on a few players during the ongoing transfer window, will be buoyed by the return of a number of their former son that include former warriors midfielder Archofrd “Uche” Gutu who rescued a point the in the previous match, the Harare derby.
Ndiraya will miss the services of new signing Evans Katema who is away with the rest of the national team ahead of their Chan qualifier against Mauritius on Sunday.
On the other hand, the Sunshine City Boys, who have played three matches after the departure of head coach Mark Harrison, have been struggling, managing only three points out of possible nine, having played out three draws under the able leadership of Mark Mathe who took over from Harrison on interim basis.
From the 15 outings they have played his season this far, Harare City have managed five wins, four draws and lost six matches. ON all the 15 matches, the Sunshine City Boys have hit the target 13 times conceding the same number of goals as well.
Speaking to the media Ndiraya said they had to win the match from all costs.
“Its a derby, anything can happen in a derby, but we have fully prepared for the match and we have to start collecting points if we are to finish the season at a respectable position come season end,” Ndiraya said.
However, his counterpart, Mathe also thinks his side is ready for battle as well.
