As the Castle Lager National Braai Festival set for Old Hararians Sports Club on 25 and 26 October draws closer, local alcohol and soft drinks manufacturer who are also the organizers of the event Delta Beverages have made the festival bigger this year after announcing a host of build-up activities across the country.
The micro-events which started last weekend in Kadoma will proceed to Chinhoyi, Harare, Mutare, Gweru, Bulawayo and Masvingo respectively between tomorrow and 19 October.
This has been necessitated by consumer demand to have localized events ahead of the main event in Harare, the company has said.
“Consumers spoke and we listened! Castle lager as the flagship lager beer brand for Delta Beverages is giving all braai lovers a platform to come together and set their own record of braaiing, enjoy their favorite lager whilst listening to good music,” said Delta.
The campaign took off two years ago with a referendum where consumers of Delta Beverages’ flagship beer brand Castle Lager voted to make the last Saturday of October the official Castle Lager National Braai Day.
The referendum created a lot of excitement in the market with over 1,100,000 votes having come through.
