Wife to music Superstar, Oliver Mtukudzi, Daisy who recently made her first appearance on the stage at the Harare International Festival of Arts collaborating with her husband on the song Masanga, has sensationally claimed that she will release her solo album soon.
Though her performance left more questions than answers as she struggled with vocals, constantly going off-tune, she has not thrown the towel and is determined to prove her worthy.
In an interview with 263Chat, Daisy was happy with her performance saying she had a wonderful audience.
“I am happy to have performed before such a wonderful audience and I know they liked our performance.
“If God helps, in the future I would like to record my own album and I am going to record another song with my husband on his album coming this year,” said the superstar’s wife.
263chat talked to a number of fans who said her performance was not pleasing.
One fan, Arnold Chirimudombo said Daisy should leave music to the talented ones to concentrate on what she knows better.
“I am sure she is not under pressure to follow in her husband’s footsteps because she proved that she is not talented, she should rather focus on what she can do better or supporting her husband,” said Chirimudombo.
Tuku’s show was the climax of HIFA judging from the attendance and expectations from fans who were left disappointed after the show was at first shifted from 10pm to 7pm before the artists performed for less than one hour.
