Coke Studio Africa 2017 Kicks off on ZBC

The much awaited Coke Studio Africa 2017, a thrilling reality musical programme that showcases Africa’s incredible music by combining different artists kicked off on ZBCTV at 6:30PM on Tuesday 15 August 2017.

This season’s Coke Studio promises more thrillers after Coke Studio Africa and Coke Studio South Africa merged into one, bigger and better Coke Studio Africa.

“We promise our viewers that this is probably the most exciting Coke studio that they can’t afford to miss,

“The time has come to see what our super star Jah Prayzah and other celebrated African Artists have been doing in Kenya,

“The next 10 weeks will be filled with thrills, electrifying moments and fun as Coke Studio rolls,” Said Vee Chibanda, Coca-Cola Marketing Activations Manager.

The show will not only be broadcasted on ZBC but will also be airing on radio.

“There is also the radio version that will be playing on Power FM, radio version will be loaded with many exciting segments like Coke Studio culture clash – highlighting Coke Studio Africa’s new cultural exchange feature, artists will have a chance to share something unique about their country to the Coke Studio  audience in exclusive interviews,” Chibanda added.”

Other segments to expect from the radio version include Coke Studio Back Stage where artist will have exclusive interviews, Coke Studio Memorable moments in which artists will reveal their favorite moment of the Coke Studio Africa experience.

 In another  radio segment,  “Destination Africa artists will present a case for their countries imagining that they are speaking to someone who would be visiting Africa for the first time and the artist has to convince that person that his or her  country is the best place to visit,” Chibanda added.

Participating countries increased from 11-18 and the show will be broadcasted in over 30 countries across Africa.

Coke Studio aims to inspire and introduce Africa’s music talents to a new and wider audience through interaction, collaboration and cooperation amongst musical artists while also building a strong brand connection with Africa’s young and growing population.

Some of the renowned names this season include our own star, Jah Prayzah, Khaligraph Jones & Band Becca from Kenya, Rayvanny, Izzo Bizness, Nandy from Tanzania, Sami Dan from Ethiopia, Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo and Sheebah, Ykee Benda representing Uganda, Nasty C, Busiswa, Mashayabhuqe from South Africa, Youssoupha from Democratic Republic of Congo, Runtown and Yemi from Nigeria.
