Barely a week before they face Al Ahli Tripoli in the reverse CAF Champions league fixture in Libya, the Caps United camp is in total chaos with club executive and players clashing over unpaid allowances.
In an interview with 263Chat, a Caps United player who could not be named for fear of reprisal said on top of unpaid salaries, injured players were reportedly meeting their own medication as the club is not taking action.
“Players are running around looking for medication because the club is failing to play its part” said the source adding that players have gone for two months without salaries.
“It’s now two months players have not received their salaries
“Players have not received anything, even after matches, it might be good for you to visit Caps United dressing rooms after the match and you will see the type of war that will be there” said source.
263Chat talked to Caps United President, Farai Jere who professed ignorance on the issue saying, “I am not aware of what you are talking about, what I know is everything is in order at my club.”
