Chafa Voted Makepekepe Player of the Season

2016 Coach of the year, Lloyd Chitembwe has hailed his players for a good performance in the just ended 2017 season saying their character from the beginning to the end of the Premier Soccer League as well as in the Champions League made a difference for Caps United.

Addressing Caps United players at an end of season ceremony held at Cresta lodge on Wednesday, Chitembwe said he was proud of their performance which ensured the Green Machine conquered during difficult times.

“I want to thank every Caps United player for such good performance, I want these boys to know that i am proud of them because they conquered in times of hardship.

“Boys you are in my heart because of the things you have done, even though we did not retain the league title, we enjoyed ourselves.

Turning to Caps United supporters, Chitembwe said they were the pillars for the team as they kept on cheering the team even during tough times.

“Supported you were our pillars at each and every game we played and i know we returned the favor you did,” said Chitembwe.

Meanwhile, supporters voted midfield maestro, Devon Chafa, Caps United 2017 best Player of year. Chafa took home $250 with first runner up Dominic Chungwa getting $150 while mid-season signing, Godwin Golliath who was voted the second runner up pocketed $100.
