Popular and highly rated Jamaican reggae star, Jah Cure, has promised to thrill local reggae fans declaring that he will leave a long lasting memory when he performs at his maiden show in Zimbabwe on Friday.
Addressing journalists in Harare on Wednesday, the celebrated Grammy Nominated star said he will not fail his Zimbabwean fans who have been waiting for his maiden appearance.
“I’m excited to be in Zimbabwe where I’m told Reggae and Dancehall music is fast growing. I know my fans have been waiting for this day and I cannot wait to deliver my best performance,” said Jah Cure.
Born Siccature Alcock, Jah cure said he is excited to be in Zimbabwe as his roots are in Africa adding that he feels indebted to make every Zimbabwean enjoy his musical performance.
He added that time permitting, he would pen a song with one or two Zimbabwean artists, with Zim-Dancehall King Winky D the more likely beneficiary as he will also share the stage with the Jamaican artist.
Jah Cure who is also known as the king of lovers rock, roots and contemporary reggae, said he was given his name by popular reggae and dancehall king, Capleton whom he met while growing up in Kingston Jamaica.
Meanwhile, Winky D has also promised to give Jah Cure a run for his money as he plans to perform songs off his latest album, Gafa Futi.
