Daughter to the late Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, Vimbai has died. Vimbai was battling for life at Westend Hospital since her involvement in a fatal head-on collision along Harare-Bulawayo road last month.
She was the current MDC Women’s Assembly secretary-general, from her election at the party’s just ended National Congress which she won from her hospital bed. She is also a legislator for Glenview South.
Speaking to 263Chat, the family spokesperson Manase Tsvangirai confirmed the news.
“It is true, she has passed on, we learned the news this afternoon around 2pm today,” said Manase.
Mourners will be gathered at the deceased’s late father’s homestead in Strathaven.
