Pro-democracy activist, Promise Mkwananzi 35, has been denied bail after he appeared at the Harare magistrate court for destroying state properties.
Harare Magistrate Tendai Mahwe denied bail for Mkwananzi and Bruce Nyamasviso who is also being charged with the same offence. Magistrate Mahwe said that the circumstances of the offence were very serious.
In denying bail ,he also said that the accused persons assaulted police officers therefore they were not suitable candidates for bail.
The accused persons wer said to have burnt two state vehicles, one belonging to Zimbabwe Republic Police and the other to Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation .
