Thousands of Zimbabweans recently gathered at the National Sports Stadium on the 15th of August to commemorate the Zimbabwe Defense Forces Day. The ZDF was established in 1980 soon after independence and it comprises of the Zimbabwe National Army and the Air Force of Zimbabwe.
The gathering crowd was treated to some breathtaking drills and gymnastics by the Zimbabwe Defense Forces’s various squads. Some of these included real battle combat drills, engagement formations, heavy artillery demos, sniping drills which were later followed by paratrooper drills from the Air Forces team.
