Army Derby Showdown as Black Rhinos Aim to Stampede Struggling Bullets at One Commando

Zimbabwe National Army football giants are set to clash in a fiery derby this weekend as Cranborne Bullets host Black Rhinos in a Week 10 Northern Region Soccer League fixture at One Commando Barracks.

Black Rhinos enter the encounter as the only unbeaten side in the league this season.

They currently sit in sixth place with 15 points from three wins and six draws in their opening nine matches. In contrast, Cranborne Bullets are fighting to find form and stability, languishing near the foot of the table.

They are in sixteenth place with just eight points from two wins, two draws, and five losses.

Rhinos midfielder Wellington Kamudyariwa will be looking to build on his standout performance last weekend when he netted his first hat-trick of the season in their match against Chegutu Pirates.

“This is my first goal for Black Rhinos since I joined the team this season.I want to keep the match ball for my kids so they can remember that their father once scored a hat-trick.” he said

Kamudyariwa previously played for Scotland FC, where he played a crucial role in helping the club earn promotion last season.

The fixture also brings back memories of last season when Cranborne Bullets dashed Black Rhinos’ promotion hopes with a narrow 1-0 win at the same venue.
