ARK is an Non-governmental organisation founded by Billy Katiyo, currently in the United Kingdom.

Katiyo who spent most of his childhood under unfavorable conditions realized that there was need to create a bridge between the vulnerable and those with excess including the corporate world.

ARK therefore seeks to identify young people with talent especially in sport and help them grow it into a profession and subsequently benefit from it.

Speaking at the function, Jacqueline Katiyo, the organization’s Operations Manager said ARK is planning on bringing development to Norton through sports.

She added that the organization was in a process of acquiring land to construct a state of the art sports centre with courts, pitches, tracks and a swimming pool.

ARK is looking forward to work with Norton Sports Council (NSC) which is a brainchild of Temba Mliswa- the Constituency’s MP.

John Muringani, NSC Chairman confirmed that his team was ready to work with ARK to introduce more sporting disciplines to Norton schools and the community.

“Norton Sports Council believes that bringing in sports like judo, karate, woodball, beach volleyball among other disciplines to the town would result in job creation and subsequently decrease the prostitution and drug abusing in the community,” said Muringani.
