The Smart Africa Alliance was founded in 2013 in Rwanda, to connect Africa and help member countries reach sustainable development goals by capitalizing on the IT sector. The alliance is set to benefit all member countries as it will allow each member country to pick their area of focus so that there is no duplication of duties, with countries like Togo focusing on (block chain), Rwanda (Smart cities) and Kenya ( digital economy) while Zimbabwe would be interested in the area of Agriculture.
