High flying and energetic Afro-Pop musician, Ammara Brown will headline the local acts lineup at next week’s Toya Delazy’s show slated for the Borrowdale Race Course.
Ammara who has been doing well on the local scene will lead the lineup of local artists which include Simba Tagz, Tehn Diamond, Tamy, ProBeats and Tytan of the Mukoko fame.
The show which is being organized by Sound Event Management in conjunction with DSTV, will be Toya Delazy’s third in Zimbabwe after her previous stints in 2014 and 2015.
Ammara, who could not hide her admiration for the funky artist, promised her fans a show to remember and said she is rearing to go.
“I’m a big fan of Toya because we are more akin in what we do, she sings funky Afro-Pop and I sing Afro-Pop which is different in a way. For that, I don’t want to disappoint so I will give my all on the night,” she said.
Synonymous for high energy performances, Amara said she is humbled to be sharing the stage with upcoming artists like Tamy and renowned producer, Simba Tagz for this show.
Minky Walters of Sound Event Management said preparations for the show are at an advanced stage and tickets are already on sale at various outlets in the Capital.
Walters added that they chose to include upcoming but world class local artists as a way of promoting them and giving them a platform to share the stage with established artists.
Toya Delazy, who is on a tour of Seven African countries, will jet in the country on Thursday next week before her show the following day.
