Manica Diamonds Lock Horns With Dembare

Mutare-based team Premier Soccer League team Manica Diamonds will this weekend lock horns with Harare giants Dynamos who are keen to turn their season around after a string of draws against Herentals and Triangle FC.

Manica Diamonds have been on a free scoring run after banging 11 in the past four games, a feat that has boosted their season after a sloppy start.

Manica Diamonds head coach, Jairos Tapera has credited his team’s brilliant start to the season to teamwork.

“Teamwork has helped us to be where we are; although Fortune Bhizi is in the limelight for his goalscoring exploits, we are working as a team from the back up to the last person on the pitch,” said Tapera.

On the upcoming game with Dynamos this coming weekend, Tapera said his side has so much respect for his opponents.

“We are preparing each as it comes, but we approach this one with much respect,” said Tapera.

Dynamos will play in-form Manica Diamonds at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday before they travel to Bulawayo to face Highlanders in an outstanding blockbuster fixture four days later.

They will play log leader Ngezi Platinum at Baobab a few days later.

Dembare has played eight games, managing three wins, four games and one loss.
