Non-governmental organisation, Accountability Lab Zimbabwe (ALZ) in collaboration with Magamba Network is calling for applications for the 2023 ALZFilm Fellowship – open until December10.
ALZFilm Fellowship is an annual fellowship for young filmmakers in Zimbabwe who have an interest in social justice and accountability issues. The fellowship recognizes the challenge of access to equipment, training and mentorship among aspiring Zimbabwean filmmakers which impedes their ability to produce quality films that can be utilized in spotlighting social justice and accountability issues encountered in their local and national communities.
10 film fellows will be selected for training and mentorship that culminates in the fellows producing individual films around issues specific to their community. They will also work alongside the Arts4Change parent organization Accountability Lab Zimbabwe to produce Integrity Icon short films that spotlight exemplary leaders who can be used as a norm for the kind of leadership communities aspire to have. These films will be shown to communities across Zimbabwe through multiple online and offline channels with the broader aim of raising awareness and triggering debate on the issues highlighted in the films
