Nasty C To Grace Rick Ross Show

Organisers of multi-award-winning US rapper, Rick Ross’ maiden performance in Zimbabwe have announced South African artiste, Nasty C as a supporting act for the show set for November 18, 2022, at the Harare International Conference Centre.

Nasty C adds to two local artistes, Holy 10 and Takura, whom the show organisers, Roar Entertainment Africa had named as supporting acts.

The announcement comes weeks after local Hip-hop fans launched a petition to block celebrated artists, Winky D and Jah Prayzah from performing as curtain-raisers.

One Lennon Emmanuel launched the petition arguing that Winky D and Jah Prayzah are not hip hop artists therefore they cannot headline the concert.

In an interview with a local publication, Roar Entertainment Africa spokesperson Ms Shally said they were going to consider the people’s concerns adding that they would not choose usual curtain-raisers.

“We haven’t really picked up yet on opening acts, it’s something we are still applying our head around. But one thing I can say to you is that we are going to pick artists that Zimbabwe hasn’t used to open for big acts. We have heard people’s concerns and we are promising to put on different artists on this show.”

She added that the show will be 80 percent hip hop.
