Multi-award winning musician, Mukudzeyi “Jah Prayzah” Mukombe has poured his heart in appreciation of fans after music streaming platform, YouTube certified him as Zimbabwe’s 2021 biggest artist.
Statistics from YouTube Music Charts and Insights reckon that the Mukwasha singer in 2021 enjoyed over 46 million plays of his music which made him the most streamed artist in Zimbabwe on the platform.
Celebrating the milestone, Jah Prayzah took to social media thanking fans for their consistance in supporting his music.
Wrote Jah Prayzah, “For 42 out of 52 weeks in 2021 including the last week of December we have been sitting on 1st place on the Youtube Stats for best Artist in Zimbabwe. These lists include international Artists whose songs were streamed in Zimbabwe. This feat is only possible when you have the best and loving fan base that is constantly out there pushing the streams and views.”
“While we still fight this pandemic that has led to most of us losing our loved ones, I still thank God for the opportunity to continue pushing and keeping you happy in these tough times. May God increase your territories and let’s do it all over again in 2022.”
From the statics, Jah Prayzah realised most daily plays on July 5 2021 when he bagged 836 103 streams. This was a day after he dropped his latest album, “Gwara” on the platfrom.
