The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe in conjunction with Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation has announced that the Legends Edition of the National Arts Merit Awards will be held virtually on 27 March 2021.
Dubbed the #NAMAlegends, the special edition will be celebrating and honouring 40 Legends that have made the nation laugh, cry and love since independence, 1980.
This extravaganza will be live on the state’s broadcasting platforms, ZBC TV and ZTN Facebook page, and NAMAtv Youtube Page with more platforms to be announced soon.
Addressing media, event organisers, Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation expressed confidence that they will deliver a stellar show.
“The show will go on this year. We have a different format but we will raise the bar, lockdown or no lockdown.
“Rehearsals are well underway and we are working on ensuring everything is in place for the smooth flow of the show” added Napoleon Nyanhi.
There will be performances from DJ Tamuka, Busi Ncube, Nutty O, Tamy Moyo, Poptain, Sylent Nqo, Mzoe 7, Anita Jackson, Jose Sax, Tariro neGitare, Ex q and some more surprises.
