All roads will tomorrow, 28 September lead to Maestro for the All White Themed Day Parties courtesy of AFROFYA Events.
AFROFYA Events is a promotions, entertainment and artist management company and the All-White party set for tomorrow falls under the events management category.
According to the company’s representative, affectionately known as ‘Papa Lodza’ in music circles, the company came into existence after being inspired by other functions that they have attended, realizing a gap that they thought they can fill in.
The company realized that most people craved for club life especially in the afternoon and not into midnight, thereby prompting then to introduce themed parties.
“We want to host day parties and have borrowed themes from other events we have seen in places like Borrowdale. There are some people who want to have a good time and experience a club feel during the day and be indoors earlier, this is where we come in.
“There will be a deck if you want sunlight but will try making it dark inside for that club feel. There will be a DJ playing by the pouch.
“People should expect fire works tomorrow, good food, good music, exceptional DJs and its going to be all white.” said Papa Lodza
Papa Lodza added that the themes party idea originates from western cities that include Washington DC, Atlanta, and these themed parties will be afternoon sessions for grown-ups.
On the decks will be DJ Stavo, DJ TK Beatz, Danny Vibes, Miss Vee, DJ Eve and guest DJ from China DJ Fyn.
There will be special appearances from Simba Tagz and Allanah.
Plans are underway to have themed parties hosted every Saturday.
Papa Lodza also runs Reggae Sundays at Evitro Lounge and Bar and also treats revellers to live performances by Allanah every Wednesday, one of the artists under AFROFYA management who will be releasing a new album soon.
