After going under the radar for a while and only finding his way onto showbiz news through controversy, award-winning Zimdancehall chanter, Soul Jah Love is back with another attempt to bang the music charts following the release of his new single, Hameni.
The controversial singer had fallen out of love and favor after going for over a year without hit song while he made it on the mampara list for absconding booked shows.
The meltdown had crippled Jah love who later penned a lamentation song titled, Muromo Nyara, which pushed singer’s rival, Seh Calaz to plead with fans to give his nemesis a second chance.
“I’ve been listening to this Track for the whole week, and now all I can say is People Should give Chibaba another Chance. You can hear his pain in his vocals,” he said.
The plea’s effect will be determined by the reception to Hameni. The song takes a dig at some church institutions that have converted their primary goal of serving and saving souls into money-making initiatives.
“Munhu wese anenge achinzi 10 percent haatarise kuti hausati wabhadhara rent (everyone is expected to give 10 percent they do not even look at your personal expenses),” reads a line from the song.
