Zanu-PF Youth League Political Commissar, Godfrey Tsenengamu has sent a chilling warning to those caught “abusing the name of the president”, Emmerson Mnangagwa, to commit crimes saying the long arm of the law will catch up with them.
Tsenengamu who has been on a rant on social media, sending encrypted warning messages to ZANU-PF bigwigs over shoddy deals and corrupt activities said Mnangagwa will not be there to “rescue” those caught wanting.
“There are some among us who have developed a habit of abusing the name of the President in committing crimes.
“Let me warn you that such actions are tantamount to corruption. If you are caught, you will face the full wrath of the law.
“Do not expect President Mnangagwa or the party to come to your rescue. The party will not hesitate to discipline such people because they drag the name of the party and the President into disrepute,” he warned.
The outspoken youth leader said Mnangagwa’s economic revival efforts are being by those who commit corruption under his name as this reflects badly on him.
He rallied the youths to stand behind Mnangagwa as he tries to take the country out of the murky economic waters that it has sunk in.
