Young Igwe Kicks Off March With A Shine

Sungura musician, Peter ‘Dhewa’ Moyo was the spectacle of a rather low key weekend for Harare show-goers, with a lively performance at Club Vicious on Friday.

On a weekend in which none of county’s big guns on the showbiz arena had performances in the capital, the ‘Young Igwe’ as Moyo is affectionately known grabbed the chance to serenade the remainder of his ailing loyal fanbase.

The singer who made waves on social media last week with a picture of him kissing his grandmother on her lips took the stage by storm balancing between his late father’s songs and his own collection.

He belted out a well-tailored performance that forced his fans in attendance to throw cash on the stage in appreciation.

Moyo has however struggled to keep up with his late father, Tongai Moyo’s legacy, due to inconsistencies.

In 2016 he shifted his attention from music and abandoned regular rehearsals to pursue his long abandoned football career, trying his luck with Prophet Walter Magaya owned Yadah Football Club.

Of late, he has recently been trying his luck in acting, teaming up with fellow musician Baba Harare though the fruits are yet to be seen.
