SA Opposition Parties Pile Pressure On Mnangagwa

South African opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane has committed to support the people of Zimbabwe in their fight against oppression and murder of innocent civilians by state security.

Maimane is reportedly coming to Zimbabwe to meet his opposition counterparts Nelson Chamisa, Tendai Biti among others.

DA is also reportedly pondering presenting human rights abrogation by the Zimbabwe government to the International Criminal Court and United Nations (UN), a move likely to taint the new dispensation’s collapsing image at international stage.

Writing on Twitter Monday afternoon, Maimane said he is determined to join forces with the opposition in Zimbabwe to fight dictatorship to save innocent civilians from torture.

“As Leader of the Democratic Alliance, I would like to make it clear that we will stand with the people of Zimbabwe and fight against the oppression and murder of innocent Zimbabweans who are mobilizing and calling for change,” he wrote.

Maimane’s position comes a few days after Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema condemned the unleashing of soldiers on protesters.

Malema described Mnangagwa’s administration as ‘foolish’.
