The MDC Alliance opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa has continued to keep government guessing on his next political move with the 40 year old politician now set to hold his first rally, post elections in Chitungwiza on Saturday.

Last week, police barred Chamisa from holding his rally in Kwekwe citing the recent typhoid outbreak but the youthful MDC Alliance leader has moved to Chitungwiza.

MDC Alliance Organising Secretary, Amos Chibaya confirmed Chamisa’s Chitungwiza rally saying his leader is meeting his supporters to consult on the way forward while thanking them for voting him on 30 July.

“Regarding our rallies, we have a one at Huruyadzo in Chitungwiza on Saturday. The President will be thanking people for voting for him and it will be also a platform to consult from the people on the possible way forward,” he said.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZLWVA) Spokesperson Douglas Mahiya has urged the opposition MDC Alliance not to incite people to reject the Constitutional Court judgement that declared Emmerson Mnangagwa winner of the July Presidential elections.

“Having an opposition in the country it’s a health political situation, but what is said at a rally must have the national interest agenda for building our country.

“They should not incite people to violence or incite people to reject the Concourt ruling. They should encourage people to observe peace not to do the opposite,” said Mahiya.
