Chief Executive Officers under the CEO Africa Round-table have urged Zimbabweans to embrace peace and tolerance during and after the Monday elections saying they envision a fresh era pregnant with opportunities for business.

According to a statement released yesterday, CEO Africa Round-table called on every Zimbabwean to embrace peace, love and tolerance before, during and after the July 30 2018 harmonized elections.

“As Zimbabwe draws closer to the 2018 harmonized elections ,CEO Africa Roundtable board members and management would like to call upon every Zimbabwean to embrace peace, love and tolerance before, during and after the July 30 2018 harmonised elections.

“As business leaders we dream of a fresh era in Zimbabwe, an error that could re position what was once Africa’s most sophisticated economic ecosystem, clearly this era is pregnant with opportunities for those willing to engage,” said the organization.

The group added that as business leaders, they are currently playing their part in rebuilding Zimbabwe’s lost confidence saying the elections are a significant booster if managed well.

“We are currently seized with raising productive capital and doing our part in rebuilding lost confidence in Zimbabwe and a brand.

“As this will in no doubt attract the much needed FDI to support the productive sectors in the short to medium term.

“We view the July 30 2018 elections as a significant confidence booster, should we all choose Zimbabwe first.

“The round table calls on the Electoral Commission to work hard to deliver free, fair and credible elections,” they said.

They added that neutrality and fairness are key to delivery of an election process which all Zimbabweans can be proud of saying it will form a solid foundation for the country’s democracy.

“We believe that the neutrality and fairness  both in deed and in perception are key to delivery of an election process which all Zimbabweans can be proud of and hence form a solid foundation for our democracy.

“We believe that all citizens must work together to deliver sustained double digit growth for Zimbabwe and hence make up for almost three decades of lost growth.

“We pray that all Zimbabweans of whatever political persuasion conduct themselves in a peaceful manner to usher in progress, tranquility and harmony in our beautiful country and position us for an inevitable launch into a prosperous Zimbabwe,” noted the organization.
