The storm further raged on Twitter, with ‘Twimbos’ urging the company not to shun locals.
Mbauya said save for senior supervisors who are from Harare, ‘95% of the workforce’ was from Gweru.
She however refused to divulge how much the company, owned by popular gospel artist Tawanda Mutyebere of ‘Ikoko’ fame, had spent on the latest project.
Food Express, a food company based in Gweru, also waged past a similar storm a few years ago for employing workers from the Midlands capital at their outlets, some as far as Victoria Falls also boasts of a 95% local workforce in Gweru.
