President Emmerson Mnangagwa has today sworn in Dr Vincent Hungwe and Elizabeth Gwaunza as chairpersons of the Public Service Commission and Judicial Services Commission respectively.

Speaking to journalists after the swearing in ceremony at state house on Thursday, Hungwe said he is ready to face any challenge that comes with his new job as it is his obligation to do so.

“There is no any institution that one can join without any challenges, the fact that one has been identified for purposes of joining a particular institution of such high level, its such an indication that there is an appreciation one is in a position to  make contributions to resolutions,” he said.

“It will be presumption of me to identify problems which are in the office right now, i am starting work tomorrow that is when i will see, but i am ready to face it,” added Mr Hungwe upon responding to questions.

Mr Hungwe is taking over from Dr Mariyawanda Nzuwah who retired in March this year.

According to Principal Director in the Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Regis Chikowore, Hungwe’s appointment has been made in terms of Section 202 Sub-section (1) (a) of the Constitution following the retirement of his predecessor Dr Mariyawanda Nzuwah.
