Fulfill Your Promise, CEOs Challenge ED

Chief Executive officers under the CEO Africa Roundtable forum have challenged President Emmerson Mnangagwa to fulfill a promise he made during the 5th CEO Africa Roundtable meeting in Victoria Falls to open Chancellor Avenue to the public to allow free movement of people.

In his speech during the handover of $15 000 to Victoria Falls Hospital, CEO Africa Round table Chairman, Oswell Binha asked Minister of State for Matabeleland North Provincial Affairs, Ambassador Cain Mathema who was the guest of honor to convey the message to the President that they are still waiting on his promise.

“Hon Minister, during the 5th CEO Roundtable, His Excellency made a promise to the delegates that he was going to open Chancellor avenue in Harare such that people move freely.

“Can I kindly burden you, Honourable Minister to convey our message to him that we are still waiting for the day. CEO Round Table remains ready to assist in any way possible to make that occasion symbolic of increasing democratic freedoms in our country,” said Binha.

He added that the group shall continue to mobilise CEOs to champion innovative solutions for the country.

“In the search for shared solutions, for our teething challenges as a country, CEO Africa Roundtable shall continue to mobilise CEOs to champion innovative solutions.
