High ridding gospel musician, Lindi Marc yesterday released her new single track titled ‘Faithfulness’, a song she says seeks to encourage people to be faithful to God.
The much-anticipated track follows Marc’s nine track debut album, Vhurai Nzira which has made waves both in Zimbabwe and South Africa. She reckons that her debut album cemented her place in the book of fame as she was able expose her versatility and appeal to different audiences through use of different languages including Shona, English and Ndebele.
The South African based gospel diva believes her new track will appeal to young people- a constituency she says prefers a groovy sound.
“After releasing my first album I wanted to do something groovy for the young people. I wanted to be different and unique. The rational was to put myself together and put on something that will bring young people to God,” she said
Marc who has been singing from a tender age said she felt compelled to pour her heart out in the four minute master piece and enlighten everyone on the rewards of loyalty and trust in God.

Marc, who is also a brand ambassador for several Zimbabwean clothes lines said her single track was inspired by the word of God. “I wanted to talk about the rewards in doing good deeds. In whatever good you do there is always a reward, it might not be cash but something that you get in being faithful.
She added, “There are some people who do not understand the importance of self-identification as a Christian. I wanted to portray a Christian as someone who is vibrant, not lukewarm.”
The 34 year old songbird has lined up a number of shows in Zimbabwe and South Africa to interface with her fans who have not had an opportunity to watch her performing live.
Having started her musical career at the tender age of 7, Lindi Marc believes her music is inspired by her personal life experiences. The upcoming gospel diva has seen her fame grow beyond the borders of Zimbabwe and South Africa into Nigeria, where her songs are now being played while radio stations have been scrambling to interview her.
She is inspired by popular gospel musicians including Mai Charamba, Mercy Mutsvene and South African Winnie Mashaba.
