Leading transport and logistics company, Unifreight Africa Limited has declared a final dividend of USD$300 000 to be paid to its shareholders after recording a profit before tax from continuing operations of $ 2.148 Million for the year ended 31 December 2017.
According to the group chairperson, Patrick Chingoka, Swift and Bulwark operations had a combined 8% increase in revenue.
“We are pleased to report a significant turnaround in Profit before tax from continuing operations of $ 2.148 Million for the year compared to a profit from continuing operations of $77 thousand for the Year ended 31st December 2016, representing a $2.071 Million improvement.
“Although the Group’s revenue from continuing operations of $22.960 million was $874 thousand down on prior year, current operations of Swift and Bulwark had a combined 8% increase in revenue.
“Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) is at $5.281 Million, representing an increase of $1.211 Million compared to what was achieved in 2016,” said Chingoka.
