Caps United FC Assistant Coach Fungai “Tostao” Kwashi has declared war on cross town and bitter rivals ,Dynamos FC , when the two teams meet over the weekend in the semi finasl of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) Charity Shield.
Addressing the media at the launch of the Charity Shield in Harare, Tostao said they are are approaching the game with seriousness as the will be using it as a preparatory match for the upcoming season.
“Caps United and Dynamos are all big teams because they have all done well at African football level so when the big teams meet it means it is war time.
“On Sunday we will be doing operation return the cup and we are looking forward to this game as we want to start the year on a high note,” said Tostao.
Caps United are the defending champions of the pre-season four team tournament after beating Highlanders 4-3 on penalties last year.
Dynamos Assistant Coach Biggei Zuze could not resist the war of words as he said they are aiming to revenge their loss in the same tournament last ear after they fell 3-1 to the Green Machine.
“Its revenge time for us because we want to beat Caps united since they also beat us at the same stage of the tournament.
“We have beefed up our squad with new and experienced players who are equal to the task and we are relishing the challenge on Sunday,” said Zuze.
In Bulawayo there is also going to be another game pitting Highlanders and Chicken Inn and the winner will meet the victor in the Harare Derby.
The Cup is worth US$15 000 and the runners in will pocket $10 000 and for participating in the tournament , ever player will walk away with $50.
The gate Charges will be $3 for the rest of the ground and $5 for VIP.
