As the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League enters the 5th week an array of mixed results across the country and the current log leaders Triangle humiliated troubled CAPS United 4-0 at Gibbo Stadium, whilst debutants Tsholotsho registered their second win of the season against Whawha.
CAPS United travelled to Chiredzi to face the in-form Triangle on Sunday and they were humiliated by a big margin that saw the host clinching on top of the log standings. The log leaders who are yet to lose a game this season displayed scintillating performance to dismiss embattled Makepe kepe side.
Reigning champions Dynamos dismissed the newly promoted side Flame Lilly 1-0 at Gwanzura Stadium yesterday in a tight encounter at Gwanzura Stadium.
The Glamour Boys had a tough afternoon as Flame Lilly stood their ground against the champions, Dynamos only found the back of the net in the 89th minute after fine inter-change between Ronald Chitiyo and Dominic Chungwa with the later making no mistake.
It was a different story at Barbourfieds Stadium as the Bulawayo giants were walloped 1-0 by visitors Chapungu, whilst Tsholotsho registered their second win of the season when they beat new comers Whawha 2-0 at Ascot Stadium.
Tsholotsho got their second win of the season in style when Lynon Chikukwa scored a brace in the 20th and 57th minute of the game.
On Saturday ZPC Kariba were held to a one all draw by debutants Dongo Sawmills at Gwanzura Stadium and the visitors went into game as the underdogs after poor performance to the start of the season.
Harare City travelled to Bulawayo for their encounter against How Mine and they were held to a goalless draw, whilst at Mandava Stadium FC Platinum were humiliated by visitors Chicken Inn to a 3-1 defeat in their own backyard.
