President Robert Mugabe’s business empire, Gushungo Holdings emerged one of the biggest winners at the 2017 Harare Agricultural Show after scooping awards in the livestock and dairy categories.
Speaking at the price giving ceremony during the official opening of the 2017 Harare Agricultural Show on Friday, Agriseeds Director – Sales and Marketing Ivan Craig who was the director of ceremony challenged Gushungo holdings to assist small dairy farmers to boost the country’s dairy industry.
“l am challenging you First lady that you must support small dairy farmers in the country such that dairy products will increase in Zimbabwe and l can hear his Excellency standing beside me saying its very true so it’s a challenge l am giving to you that please support them,” said Craig.
Meanwhile Zimbabwe Agricultural society overall best Exhibit went to the Command Agriculture while giant mobile telecommunications operator Econet scooped the Best Overall stand in the postal and telecommunications sector.
The Zimbabwe Defence Forces won the best stand exhibited by a member of the Zimbabwe Security services.
