Chimanimani Health Workers Helping Mothers To Fight Acute Malnutrition

Owing to the recent El Nino Draught during the 2015/16 farming season, many children suffered from Acute Malnutrition. Consequently, village health workers have been trying to help children suffering from acute malnutrition using the little resources available in that community.

Acute Malnutrition is defined by a very low weight for height (below -3z scores of the median WHO growth standards), by visible severe wasting, or by the presence of nutritional oedema.
