#263Tech: Liquid Telecom’s Fibre Project Gets ZNCC Recognition

Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe’s extensive fibre network in Zimbabwe has earned the giant internet service provider the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Connectivity Award at the ZNCC Mashonaland Annual Business Awards Ceremony held in Harare last week.

Liquid Telecom is Zimbabwe’s leading Internet Service Provider (ISP), boasting of a robust fibre optic network which spans across the country, penetrating straight into other African countries. The independent data, voice and Internet Protocols service provider links the continent to the rest of the globe via a resilient submarine communications cable infrastructure.

Speaking soon after receiving the prestigious award, Liquid Telecom Zim’s Chief Commercial Officer – Mr Martin Mushambadope said they were overjoyed to receive such recognition to support their vision of connecting Zimbabwe, Africa and beyond the continent.

“We have rolled out 10 600 kilometers of fibre across Zimbabwe since inception as the fibre company works towards consolidating its position as the leading internet service provider in the country.” – added Mushambadope.

TelOne, the state owned telecom operator were runners up for their recently improved services such as Internet services and telephony.

The provincial awards were graced by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mike Bimha

Liquid Telecom will be looking forward to keep their place at the summit of Zimbabwe’s ISP industry in the next edition of national business awards scheduled to take place in Victoria Falls.
