Trailblazing Zimbabwean choral group, Zimpraise will this year shun Harare and use Bulawayo as the venue for their latest live DVD recording.
Speaking to 263Chat, ZimPraise Chief Executive officer, Joseph Madziyire confirmed that Night Live DVD Recording is set for Bulawayo on the 10th of June, the first ever live DVD recording done out of the capital, Harare.
“The reason we are doing this project in Bulawayo is because we love Bulawayo and always enjoy the rich atmosphere our friends in Bulawayo bring to each concert.
“This year they are going to be doing the Zimpraise Hymns Night Live DVD Recording in the city of Bulawayo which will also be our first ever live DVD recording to be done outside the capital city Harare,” said Madziyire.
He added that the Bulawayo concert will feature some new Zimpraise faces that joined the choir during this year’s auditions.
“We will also have prominent Bulawayo based artists sharing the stage with Zimpraise, names which will be confirmed closer to the date,” said Madziyire.
He promised Bulawayo gospel music lovers a great time with many surprise acts set to perform at the event.
“We are not willing to pre-empt, each DVD production has its surprises but we are promising our Bulawayo friends a great time in celebrating and showcasing the diversity that the hymns bring and a rich psalmist lyrical content that encompasses each of the songs that will be performed on the day,” added Madziyire.
