A local music concept dubbed Jam session introduced by City Sports Bar last year is proving to be popular with revelers bracing the wet weather to watch a selection of local artistes from various genres, upcoming and established perform on an unusual Monday.

City Sports Bar was on fire as artistes including Mai Chichi, Progress Chipfumo, Ras Caleb and Cello Culture put up polished acts that left revelers asking for more.
First to hit the stage was comedian actress popularly known as Mai Chichi who came with talking guitars and performed cover songs from international artists including ‘All of me’ by John legend and ‘Call of me’ by Jah Cure.
After the performance she got into her usual game leaving people in stiches as she cracked jokes about people’s WhatsApp profile pictures.
One of best vocalists in Zimbabwe, Progress Chipfumo was to follow with his usual polished act churning out popular hits from his collection including Mwari vangu, Garwe and Mai vangu.
Chipfumo who announced that he is moving with the theme of zero to early child marriage and zero domestic violence left the stage to Zimdancehall artists, Ras celeb and Cello Culture who did not disappoint, sampling songs from their upcoming projects.
City Sports Bar Manager, Mr Bangure expressed satisfaction with the performance saying they will be soon celebrating the first anniversary of the Jam Sessions introduced in 2016.
“This year we wish to uplift other upcoming artists like what we did to Andy Muridzo,” said Bangure.
Popular dancer and rhumba artist, Lady Storm aka Eriza and Allan Chimbetu failed to perform due to heavy rains.
