Kuda David Mnangagwa is the Deputy Minister of Finance and Investment Promotion in Zimbabwe. He was appointed to this position by his father, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, on September 11, 2023.

He is one of the three Mnangagwas in the Cabinet, along with his father and his cousin, Tongai Mafidhi Mnangagwa, who is the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality.

He is currently a Provincial Member of ZANU PF Youth League structures and youth quota MP for the Midlands. Kuda Mnangagwa was born in 1989 and holds a law degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Actuarial Science from Drake University in the USA.

He is the founder and CEO of a private equity investment and advisory firm primarily focused on investing in financial services, mining, real estate and construction within Zimbabwe and the Southern African region. He also holds other tertiary-level qualifications from Malaysia.

He also has experience in the insurance sector, having worked as an Actuarial Associate at Aon Hewitt for three years.
He was a Non-Executive Director of the National Building Society, an NSSA-owned bank, from 2015 to 2020.

According to President Mnangagwa’s Lawyer, Tinomuda Chinyoka, one of David’s companies won a tender from an all-MDC Council in Gweru to renovate Kudzanayi Terminus, which had become an eyesore to a modern mid-size bus interchange that incorporates sheltered markets and safe storage for vendors.

Kuda Mnangagwa has been accused of nepotism and corruption by some critics, who question his qualifications and suitability for his ministerial post. However, Chinyoka defended him saying “Was there some proof accompanying those allegations? Because I know David. Those allegations are false. Do not allow yourself to be used to propagate unsupported statements made by people whose motives you do not know.”

He also faced allegations of poaching wildlife in Nyangambe, in the Save Valley Conservancy, Chiredzi, in 2015.
He has denied any wrongdoing and claimed that he is committed to serving the nation and contributing to its economic development.
