Human rights activist and fierce Mugabe critic, Linda Masarira has been ordered to perform community service at Marlborough clinic after being found guilty of obstruction of free movement of traffic and pedestrians.
In passing sentence, Mbare Magistrate, Stanford Mambanje slapped Masarira with an 18 month imprisonment with seven months suspended on condition that she does not commit a similar offence in five years.
The remaining 11 months were scrapped on condition that she performs 385 hours of community service at Marlborough clinic on a on a daily basis from 0800hrs to 1600hrs for 12 weeks.
Masarira was charged with barricading roads in Mabvuku on 6 July 2016,with the intention of obstructing traffic during a national shutdown on July 6, 2016.
