Finance Manager (Arusha, Tanzania) – Chartered Accountant (Full CA). 2 – 5 Years Post Articles experience, preferred. Must be proficient with MS Office Packages and be able to demonstrate superior MS Excel abilities. Must be able to work in a challenging environment. Preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts and to direct and co-ordinate the departmental subordinates in order to timeously deliver on the departmental responsibilities. Prepare and review the monthly management accounts for all business units. Investigate and report variances and implement controls to reduce variances where relevant. Plan, direct and coordinate the responsibilities of subordinates to ensure they are performing in line with expectations. Manage External Audit and field queries with Audit Team. Manage cash flow requirements & treasury requests. Co-ordinate regional annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting. Completion and submission of relevant tax returns, including VAT, Income Tax, PAYE and Withholding Tax. Maintain procedures for custody and control of assets and records in order to ensure safekeeping.  Establish and maintain relationships with internal customers and provide assistance when problems may be encountered. Monthly preparation of Arusha payroll and reviewing regional payroll. Review and approve regional creditors. Understands business principles and language, including the fundamentals of finance and profitability. Uses this understanding to establish clear priorities for actions and to increase the performance and profitability of the company. Demonstrates experience. Identifies opportunities for Business Optimisation. Securing relevant information and identifying key issues and relationships from a base of information relating and comparing data from different sources, identifying cause-effect relationships. Facilitating the development of others’ knowledge and skills, providing timely feedback and guidance to help them reach goals.  Developing subordinates’ skills and competencies by planning effective development activities related to current and future jobs. Working effectively with a team or those outside formal line of authority (e.g., peers, senior managers) to accomplish organisational goals; taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others; contributing to and accepting the consensus; subordinating own objectives to the objective of the organisation or team.
