PSL heads for an exciting climax

The 2016 Castle Lager Premier Soccer is heading for an exciting end with three teams still with an equal chance of walking away champions.

All eyes will this weekend be on the fiercely contested title race where FC Platinum, Caps United and Highlanders all still have a realistic chance of claiming the 2016 league crown.

The three teams that are vying for the top gong are all fully aware  that any slip up could be detrimental to their hopes.

Log leaders FC Platinum who are without much breathing space given their slender 1 point lead at the summit of the standings, head into their showdown against Harare City fully aware  that victory would lay a significant marker to their title challenge.

Chasing what would be a maiden league crown, FC Platinum face a stern test against a talented Harare City capable of playing party spoilers.

Also with a chance of winning the title is Highlanders who make a trip to the Midlands capital for a date against Chapungu at Ascot Stadium.

Bosso who have emerged as the top flight’s team of the moment given their 5 game winning run play Chapungu in a match Erol Akbay knows is critical to their title challenge.

Though dark horses Bosso who are just four points behind FC Platinum are very much in the title equation with 5 matches still to play.

Other encounters on Saturday see Ngezi Platinum hosting Tsholotsho FC while ZPC Kariba will entertain Triangle at Nyamhunga Stadium.

In Bulawayo How Mine host Mutare City.

On Sunday, Makepekepe who edged How Mine 3-2 in their last encounter will be looking to carry on from where they left off when they play Border Strikers.

Caps are second with 50 points just one less than FC Platinum making their trip to Beitbridge an important one.

Other match ups slated for Sunday will see leadership crisis ridden Dynamos hosting Hwange while Bulawayo City are set to clash against Chicken Inn.
