Pastor Josh Kays a gifted music minister with a strong husky voice will be launching his fifth album titled ‘Coming back to the heart of worship’ on Saturday at House of Dunamis Church in Harare.

The album launch will feature Zimpraise groomed artists like Ellard Cherai, Kudakwashe Mutsvene, Gamu Kurebwa, Tawanda Midzi, Nyasha Mutonhori among others.

He says his most memorable moment in the music industry is when ‘Apano’ won the song of the year award last year.

Talking to 263Chat Pastor Josh Kays said “Coming back to the Heart of Worship is our latest album which we are going to be recording live on Saturday at House of Dunamis Church by Century House building.

“This is an assignment that we were given by the Lord to do this year and we had another album coming called ‘Words in my Heart’ but through my father in faith Prophet TR Mugandani, God gave us an instruction to record live on stage.

“Everyone is welcome to experience the glory and presence of the Lord as we worship together”, He said

With four albums to his name, Jerusalem, NdiMwari Chaiye, My Praise and Worship1 and Worship Throne (Aripano) with the hit song, which won the song of the year at Permican Awards 2016, Pastor Josh says singing gospel music to him is not by inspiration by a calling.

“My music is focused more on encouraging people to worship God no matter the situations they are going through.

“My latest album is more of a collection of old songs we used to sing when we were growing up, so it’s more of re-digging old wells. Makafamba nevakuru vedu,” he said

Added Pastor Josh: “We use more of modern kind of playing but keeping the words intact using jazz, soft rock and reggae beats.”
