Lamont Chitepo’s Date with Zim Fans

United Kingdom based Afro pop artist, Lamont Chitepo is coming to Zimbabwe in December and has lined up a number of shows and events where he will have an opportunity to interact with his local fans.

Chitepo who made his grant entrance on the musical arena with a hit song, ‘Maiwe’ in 2015 will arrive in the country on the 19th of December and his local fans have already organised to welcome him at the Harare International Airport.

According to his Zimbabwe based manager Kudzai Mukuku, the award winning contemporary musician will hold two shows, one in Harare and another in Bulawayo before taking his act to Johannesburg where he will again interface his fans with another live performance.

“From the airport, Chitepo who is also known as ‘Tu Short’ will address a Press conference where he will share more details about his shows and events in Zimbabwe

“He will visit one children’s home in Harare and also we will have a day where his fans will have an opportunity to interact with him,” said Mukuku.

He added that fans can get regular updates on Chitepo’s Facebook Page.

Chitepo’s latest single track titled Maoko Mudenga is making waves both in Zimbabwe and United Kingdom and his local fans who have often followed his music on social media will have a rare opportunity to see their favourite musician on stage.

Chitepo recently won an award at the Zimbabwe Music and Arts Awards (ZIMAA 2016) as the Best Male Artiste of the Year and has previously curtain raised for various artists including Chimurenga music guru, Thomas Mapfumo.

Some of the songs on his debut seven track album Maiwe includes Gimme you Love, Ndikadai, Handimbotyi and title track Maiwe among others.
