Event: Vintage Affair at Bushman Rock

LOCAL Winery, Bushman Rock Estate, has partnered with Island Hospice and Healthcare (Island) to host their annual Vintage affair in a bid to raise funds for the organisation. Proceeds from the Vintage Affair will go to Island programs that deliver palliative services to; patients living with cancer, HIV, and other chronic conditions as well as bereaved families including child-headed households, widows and elderly carers.

From 1979 to 2000, Island has been favourably supported by donations from the public sourced through, street collection days, bequests, donations in kind for their charity shop and community fundraising drives. However, since 2000, donations have decreased resulting in reduction of services of the program nationwide. Aimed at re-engaging the public, The Vintage Affair, will be the first major fundraising drive of 2015 for Island Hospice following their rebranding and name-change last year.

Vintage Affair is an annual grape crushing event held at Bushman Rock with live music, a lavish Mediterranean Buffet and a Polo exhibition match. Bushman Rock has been a champion of Island Hospice’s services for over three years.
