EU Film Festival Kicks Off In Harare

The much awaited European Union Film Festival kicks off in Harare on Tuesday and will run until Saturday at the Theatre in the Park in Harare.

The festival will feature 11 award winning films in Europe and will be screened for the first time in Zimbabwe, providing a platform for Zimbabwean filmmakers to take notes of how others are doing their productions.

“This is the first film festival that we are going to host in Zimbabwe, but we have been doing this in other countries and for this edition it will not feature local films because we are still looking for ways of working with them” said one of the festival’s directors Entickap Giles.

He added that the festival is an opportunity for Zimbabweans to have a feel of different cultures such as unity values such as equality and democracy and our social mode of life.
