Derby Divides Harare

Its Harare derby again. The game that divides the city is here again and on Sunday, the Capital city will be painted in green and blue as football fans flock the National Sports Stadium to cheer their teams.

263Chat reporter, Munashe Chokodza interviewed fans from both Dynamos and Caps United to hear their take on Zimbabwe’s biggest game.

71 year old Sekuru Chari from Mufakose

“I am a Caps united supporter, Caps has higher chances of winning this game because the boys have been playing in the champions’ league. A repeat of what they did in the ZNA charity cup will see them win this one 2-1”

Kambuzuma based Dembare fan Baba Cecilia

“Dynamos is in good form because in the last five games we have collected maximum points and our team is jelling. We are gunning for nothing but Championship and Caps United will be taught a big lesson. Dynamos will win 1-0”

Lloyd popular known as Baba Rati

“A derby is tricky because every team will be preparing for the game, there are players like Machisa who are not regulars in the team but when derby time comes they will be on their best form so as a Dembare fan I would want my team to win but it is going to a hard game.”

Mupositori the caps united supporter

“Dzochekwa meaning we are going to slice them, we are picking points and Dynamos have an unfinished business with us so we are going to destroy them but I know it is going to be a tough match.”
