Bazuka, Faith Candy Feature Amuli On New Single

Mabasa Ziyambi and Faith Candy of Bazuka studios have joined hands with Wamatuka hitmaker Gift Amuli to release a single sungura track titled Zuva Ranyura.

In an interview with 263Chat from his base in Australia, Ziyambi affectionately known as Bazuka in the musical circles confirmed the collaboration with Amuli saying the pact was part of a long term project which will see the jazz singers recording a sungura album.

“We have done a collaboration song with Amuli and it’s a single track titled Zuva Ranyura which talks about people who are dishonesty, misleading and like to be associated with you when you are enjoying a purple patch but they are the first ones to disassociate with you during difficult times and will be the first ones to laugh at you through passing misleading information,” said Faith Candy.

The Australian based artists said collaborating with the sungura artists was part of a long term project which will see Ziyambi and Faith Candy releasing sungura album with different artists of the genre.

He added that the collaborations and the eventual recording of a sungura album was all part of the Bazuka recording stable to offer a variety of genres to their legion of fans.

“It’s not going to be a once off project as plans are underway for us to do more collaboration with sungura artists and as Bazuka studio we are already working on our own sungura album which will be released later this year.

This all being done in an effort to reach out to different people in our society and we saw it fit not to limit ourselves,” said Ziyambi.

The duo of Bazuka and Faith Candy early this year released single titled Torimire Shiri with Afro Jazz singer Ashton Nyahora popularly known as Mbewu in the musical circles.

Ziyambi said they were already working with Andy Muridzo on another single which will pave way for a compilation single album of the five artists which will be released later this year.

“Currently all is set for another recording of a single with Andy Muridzo, and after we are done with the single then we will release a compilation single album of the three single tracks,” said Bazuka.
